Students of the MSc in Contemporary India visited the University of Cambridge on 27 January 2017 for the first leg of student-led exchange. A warm evening at 7, Alison Richard Building was hosted by students of the MPhil South Asian Studies. The evening was themed on discussing 'emancipation of women in contemporary India', a documentary on the pertinent topic was followed by academic discussion.
Students from Cambridge visited SIAS, University of Oxford on 10 February 2017 to present their research proposals. The evening, hosted by the Contemporary South Asian Studies Programme, was supervised by Prof Matthew McCartney and Dr George Kunnath. The students from Cambridge were highly appreciative of the comments given by the faculty at Oxford. Afterwards the students enjoyed a meal at '4500 miles from Delhi'.
