Matthew McCartney is currently on sabbatical leave following his seven-year stewardship as Director of CSASP.
Professor McCartney is undertaking research in China, Pakistan and Japan, and was one of the speakers at a recent IISS event on Pakistan's new government. He has also recently given a lecture entitled: 'The importance of 'Region' in Social Science: taking Human Development in South Asia as an example' at Tsinghua University.
