MSc Contemporary India Students' Diwali celebrations

img

On Monday evening, students and staff of the MSc in Contemporary India enjoyed an evening of curry, mulled wine, and gift-giving to celebrate Diwali.  Astute readers will notice that this was a couple of weeks late, and reason for this was that students had an assignment due on 7th November and sensibly opted to put off the partying until after that had been submitted.  So, effectively a double-celebration of Diwali and completion of the 'What is India?' essay.

Thanks are particularly due to our student reps, Devanshi Singh and Smit Singh, for organising the event, and to Jean Chou for booking the room at Wolfson College - and providing home-cooked Chinese food as well!

The images below show various people opening their 'secret santa' gifts.
