OSGA DPhil in Area Studies (South Asia) candidate Song Tang has been recognised with the award of "best paper/presenter of the South Asian panel" at the 3rd Tsinghua Area Studies Forum. Centred on the theme "Developing Countries in the Age of Uncertainties: Risks, Resilience and Interdependency", the conference took place from 3 - 5 July 2023 and was hosted by the Institute for International and Area Studies of Tsinghua University. Song's paper, titled "Searching for a Rising India: National Scientific Identities in Post-1990s Indian Cultural Representations" drew on her DPhil thesis project, which examines the shifting national images of a rising India as produced in key cultural works and as amplified through India's public diplomacy. Our congratulations to Song for this wonderful achievement!
