Pakistan: Political Economy of a Transforming Society (25 February 2016)

This Conference brought together eminent scholars to present their thoughts on a focused theme centred around a seminal paper by Professor Akbar Zaidi, the key note speaker. This ensured deeper insights and detailed analysis of the changing contours of Pakistan's Political Economy and the persistence of historical patterns. I immensely enjoyed the discussion, received extremely useful feedback on my work, and appreciated the ideas for the direction of future research. The lively informal conversation initiated at dinner inevitably continued until late night. The frank sharing of views with participants in both the formal and informal settings made the event truly memorable, and both Wolfson College and the organisers deserve many congratulations.  (Adnan Rafiq, DPhil Candidate and Conference Participant)
