Congratulations and farewell to the class of 2015
Congratualtions to all who were part of our MSc in Contemporary India this year and who completed the course with great success. We wish all of you well with your future plans.
The 2014-15 academic year saw a group of 14 students take part in the Masters course and we are proud to have welcomed six students on full or partial scholarships. The final exam results at the end of the year were equally as impressive with five Distinctions being awarded.
During the year, the students were active members of the University, attending regular seminars focussing on South Asia; taking part in CSASP-led conferences; making numerous visits to the Ashmolean as part of their University Engagement Programme; and upholding the tradition of organising a visit to Warsaw to attend an International Relations conference, and to present their theses to students at the Centre for Contemporary India Research and Studies.
In addition to their academic pursuits, our students found the time to be actively involved with many societies and groups across the University.
The MSc in Contemporary India continues to be a challenging course with a demanding timetable but these students have excelled themselves and proved that they are all capable of achieving great things in their futures. We are looking forward to welcoming the next cohort and we hope that they will thrive just as their predecessors have done. But this does not mean that we will not be closely following the successes and achievements of our alumni.
